It is important to be honest with yourself about how social media makes you feel.
While social media was created to be a virtual community, we often find ourselves playing the comparison game which can be detrimental to mental health.
Example: Friend A just got engaged, Friend B just bought a house, Friend C just had a baby….. and I’m sitting here eating chicken fingers and fries for the third time this week.
With today being the annual Bell Let’s Talk Day, we found it important to discuss ways to be kind to your mind while on social media.
Social media is all fun and games – until it’s not. Scrolling may seem harmless, but it can end up pushing us farther and farther into the comparison game. As most of us know, the comparison game leads to self-doubt, and eventually negative self-talk.
